The story behind the book

It all began with a bumpy ride in a car and a shopping excursion in South Africa for Beth Moore and Kim P. Davis. This bright idea and a brief conversation might not have gone anywhere. Except it did. The result was the Voices of the Faithful series of devotionals, featuring the voices and the stories of missionaries worldwide.

In September 2002, the idea took root and after a year of prayer, the project for the first book began. God was in it from the beginning. Stories came in from all over the world, Voices of the Faithful was published in 2005, and the rest is history.

In the summer of 2008, the process of putting together Voices of the Faithful Book Two began. Once again, stories of courage from faithful missionaries were solicited and selected. Beth wrote the introduction, and Kim P. Davis penned the introductions for each month and took on the task of compiling this book as well.

The first volume surpassed all expectations, giving thousands of readers a fresh vision for what God is doing. This second book picks up the baton with a whole new collection of stories and inspiration.
